  • Sleep Well.

This month, this semester, has just gotten ten million times harder for me. I don't know how I should react, I don't know how people are going to react to how I feel. But I should back up.

On October 5th, my professor passed away. To say the least, it was pretty devastating. He was so much more than just a teacher, and everyone that knew him could attest to that. He was a great man who loved his family more than anything, and someone that you would always want to do your best for, no matter what.

On Monday night, October 22nd, my ex-boyfriend Josh fell asleep at the wheel while driving. He hit a tree and was killed. Though I had not said it in a long time, I still love him. I will always care deeply for him, even if we didn't say it to each other. While we bickered on the subjects of petty things, I knew he would always be there for me in a minute, and I always hoped he knew I would have done the same. For three and a half years he was my best friend, the first person I ever loved, and I would have done anything to be with him. Even after that, he was still one of my best friends, even if he did know how to push my buttons and aggravate me.

I could probably go on and on about all of it, but I won't.

Today my dad told me my grandmother has cancer.

I just don't want to feel anymore.
I just want to wake up from this nightmare.

    ODDS AND ENDS
A line you would like to use: "Actually, he's a holly bush and his name is Stephen, thank you very much."
A scene you would like to include: Fight to the death? Pink bunnies? Doesn't too much matter.
A concept you would like to explore: Paranoia.
A cliche you would like to avoid: Balto
A character you would like to use: Gnome, a socially defunct wolf who speaks to trees

    FORWARD THINKING
Do you expect to be able to complete it? I hope so
Do you intend to complete it? Yes.
Would you ever try to publish it? No, the logistics would be terrible.
What do you expect to get out of this month of frantic writing? Masochistic kinds of fun.

  • Life is a blurry-eyed, heavy-hearted whirlwind of a storm
Some things just hurt too much to cry
Memories are like shadows the light won't make disappear
I still see you smiling with your eyes

Did you go back from where you came?
If I get there, will they have my name?
If they don't, I'll only have myself to blame
For all these things, true happiness is having wings

  • Woo!

I'm getting a laptop for my birthday! I'm excited.

Also...my next couple of weekends are CRAZY busy, but I intend to hang out with lots of people.
Namely, Japheth, Laney and Emmy. Maybe more.

In other news, I'm hoping to do really well in Art History in the next two weeks. If I can get an A in both my summer classes I'll be ecstatic. I got a Betta fish. His name is Lucas, and he is really cool and I'm attempting to keep him alive longer than the last two fish I had. So far so good. I'm also having radom minor freakouts about actually graduating in a year. Every once in awhile I'm like...holy shit I'm grauating in a year, and I've got absolutely no idea what I'm doing after that. Everything's been pretty planned out my whole life, because of school. It's like, okay, I'll finish this grade and just move to the next. It's a little scary, to say the least. My mom is pulling for me to move back to Atlanta...

    Sorry. Not a chance.

I miss my family, but there's no way I'm moving closer to my mother until I can completely sever all ties she has on me, namely my car, car insurance, and health insurance. Once I can get myself up and running on my own, I'll go from there.

I'll be 21 in a month, I'm gonna be an RA in Kennedy Apartments in the fall. I'm marching with a service award for $375 even though I didn't get captain, which just means a little less stress for me, and I like that. I'll be the editor for SAI and I'm super excited, I want to take a little (which is expensive, eek!) in the spring, and I'll be doing portfolio review! It's all coming crazy fast, but I can't help being excited about it, even though it's going to be extremely tough! This will be the most that I've taken on since I got to GSU, and I'm really hoping I can handle all of it and graduate on time like I'm hoping.

I have some great friends, a wonderful boyfriend, and this is pretty much as good as it's going to get right now.

    Life is good.
